For all I know about a web design I owe to the Miss Internet competition. It has been a long time ago, when I was getting bored next to a swimming pool in California. During my net surfing a tripped over a Miss Internet contest. One of the requirements there was to create own presentation website. I knew nothing about web in that time but I signed up anyway. The same day I rushed to the local library and borrowed a big pile of books. I studied and with a big online help of Macik, Martin and George I finished my first website during a week. In spite of a vague ending of the contest my knowledge grew stronger.
I tossed away a non-professional approach to study and I jump head first to the profession. I gained diplomas for Graphic design and QwarkXPress at the university in New York.
After me returning to the lands of Bohemian and Moravian I obtained several position in several graphic companies in a row from which I finally decided for Visione as a senior graphic designer. (Meaning not that I would be a retiree but that I am there at longest).
I applied for and received a trade license so I could work on my own and make some money on side. I make websites and graphics for printed materials though it is mostly for my friends and their friends...
